Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance
Lead, coach, and manage a team of 2–4 Sales Representatives to exceed targets
Run regular sales huddles, pipeline reviews, and field coaching sessions
Implement incentive structures and performance improvement plans to drive accountability
New Business Development
Drive acquisition of new B2B & B2C clients, focusing on highvolume shippers (SMEs, ecommerce, manufacturers, wholesalers)
Personally lead negotiations for key corporate and strategic accounts
Develop territory plans to maximize coverage across Nairobi and surrounding areas
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Maintain deep knowledge of Kenya’s courier and logistics landscape
Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and service offerings (lastmile, sameday, freight)
Share regular insights with Operations and Pricing teams on market trends and customer needs
Pricing & Commercial Strategy
Collaborate with Operations to develop competitive, customized proposals
Apply strong understanding of cost drivers (fuel, delivery zones, weight brackets) to ensure profitable pricing
Customer Experience & Retention
Ensure high service standards postsale to minimize churn
Act as escalation point for key client issues, working closely with Operations for swift resolution

Requirements
- Key Requirements
- 4–6 years’ experience in logistics/courier/freight sales (Kenyan market)
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
- Proven success in acquiring new business and closing highvalue deals
- Strong understanding of logistics pricing models (volumetric weight, surcharges, lastmile costs)
